1. The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received financing from the World Bank as grant toward the cost of the Supply of Water Bowser for Department of Fire service and Civil Defense (FSCD) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply of 5 nos Water Bowser (10, 000 litre) for Department of Fire service and Civil Defense (FSCD). For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.

2.The Local Government Engineering Department now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the said package (Package No: HELP/GD-05). The quantity of the Supply of Water Bowser (10, 000 litre) is 5 nos for Department of Fire service and Civil Defense (FSCD). The delivery period will be 365 days, the final destination is Department of Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD), Kazi Alaudddin Road, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The margin of preference will be granted.

3. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” (Fifth Edition, September 2023) (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Proposers as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
