The proposed Project Development Objective is to expand access to the Cash Transfer Program, to improve selected nutrition behaviors in priority target areas, and enhance the MOSWRR’s capacity to deliver social protection programs. This project consists of three components. Component 1 : The project will finance the setup and implementation of a nutrition-sensitive conditional cash transfer (CCT) program in Ayeyarwady Region and Shan State designed to improve nutrition outcomes of pregnant and lactating women and children under two years of age. Subcomponent 1.1: The project will finance the setup and implementation of a nutrition-sensitive conditional cash transfer (CCT) program in Ayeyarwady Region and Shan State designed to improve nutrition outcomes of pregnant and lactating women and children under two years of age. Subcomponent 1.2: Conditional cash transfers for pregnant women and mothers of children ages 0–2 in Ayeyarwady and Shan. Component 2: This component will focus on strengthening the capacity of the MOSWRR to effectively deliver, monitor, and evaluate SP programs and services across Myanmar. Subcomponent 2.1: This subcomponent will support national and selected R/S, districts, and township-level DSWs to improve the physical and human capital infrastructure of the DSW to be able to deliver SP programs. Subcomponent 2.2: This subcomponent will finance technical support to develop key building blocks for effective national SP programs. Subcomponent 2.3 This subcomponent will finance the following: the operational costs needed to manage, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate project implementation; the personnel costs for managing the project at the union, R/S, and district levels in the areas of contract management, financial management (FM), safeguards, procurement, and planning; and operating costs to undertake regular supervision and monitoring and to facilitate implementation of the project.
