• This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in the United Nations Development Business (UNDB) No. WB-P890351-12/21 of 14th December, 2021.
• The Government of Tanzania has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Roads to Inclusion and Socio-Economic Opportunities Project (RISE) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Construction of Lwanji I Bridge (200m) span along Mtowisa – Ilemba Road Section, Tender No.: AE/001/2026/27/HQ/W/18 (TZ-TANROADS-564086-CW-RFB).
• The Tanzania National Roads Agency the Implementing Agency now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Construction of Lwanji I Bridge (200m) span along Mtowisa – Ilemba Road Section for the construction period of 15 months inclusive of three (3) months mobilization from the commencement date and 36 months Defects Notification Period.
• Margin of preference is not applicable.
• The Works consist of construction of 200m new and piled bridge and its gravel standard approach road. The estimated major quantities of works are as follows: -
