Notice of Intent to Sole Source
This is a SPECIAL NOTICE ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), VISN 8 Network Contracting Office, 8875 Hidden River Pkwy, Tampa FL 33637, intends to award a sole source contract to EOI, Inc dba Medical Resources, 8377 C Green Meadows Drive North, Lewis Center, OH 43035. This proposed contract action is for the procurement of a service agreement on the Checkpoint Wireless System at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa, Florida 33612, and at locations listed under authority of James Haley. The base period of performance is for one (1) year with only one source, EOI, Inc dba Medical Resources under the authority Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b)(1).
This contract requires factory trained field engineers directly employed by EOI, Inc dba Medical Resources to provide a full-service maintenance contract including preventive maintenance, certification, and repair of the Checkpoint Wireless System. EOI, Inc dba Medical Resources is the sole source service authorized provider for Checkpoint Wireless System equipment. EOI, Inc dba Medical Resources is the only factory authorized company, and is the only organization that has the expertise, parts inventory, and factory training to resolve Checkpoint Wireless System maintenance and technical issues.

Responses to this Special Notice should be able to demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to deliver the service listed above. The purpose of this Special Notice announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Veteran Owned Small Businesses, 8(a), HUBZone and other Small Businesses interested and capable of providing the services described above.
