Consultancy Title: Recruitment of one (1) Specialist for the Calculation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI)

The Government of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe, through the Ministry of Economy and Finance, has received financing from the International Development Association (IDA) to support the implementation of the SADC Regional Statistics Project (PER), and intends to use part of these funds to procure consulting services.

The consulting service consists of recruiting one (1) Specialist for the Calculation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

Objectives of the Consultancy

The main objectives of the consultancy are:

a) To review, process, validate and compile the data collected in all districts of the country, including the Autonomous Region of Príncipe.

b) To calculate the new Consumer Price Index (CPI) weights and assess the price data collected for calculating prices for the base year, within the framework of the Household Budget Survey (IOF-2026).
