1. The Republic of Lebanon (hereinafter called "Borrower") has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Lebanon Emergency Assistance Project (LEAP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for "Rehabilitation of Shelters (Public Schools) for Batch 5: Lot 1 Lot 2 and Lot 3". For these three contracts, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disburserrent method, as defined in the World Bank's Disburserrent Guidelines for hvestment Project Financing

2.
