• The Government of the Republic of South Sudan represented by the (Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Regional Climate Resilience Program for Eastern and Southern Africa and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts:

• LOT 1: Construction of Flood Control Structures – Section 1 (Bor area) and retention ponds.
• LOT 2: Construction of Flood Control Structures – Section 2 (Jalle area) and retention ponds.
• LOT 3: Construction of Flood Control Structures – Section 3 (Panyagor area).

For these contracts, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing.

The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation (MWRI) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Construction of Flood Control Structures in Bor South and Twic East Counties in Jonglei State including an earth fill dyke of 94km and four retention ponds covering Lot 1- Flood Protection Dyke Works – Section 1 (Bor area): approx. Ch. 0+000 to Ch. 31+300 (≈ 31.3 km), including associated crossing/drainage structures and retention ponds; Lot 2 -Flood Protection Dyke Works – Section 2 (Jalle area): approx.
