Agriculture Resilience and Competitiveness Project

The development objective of Agriculture Resilience and Competitiveness Project for Bosnia and Herzegovina is to increase climate resilience and competitiveness of the agriculture sector. This project has two components. 1) The first component, Enhancing Public Support Resilience and Traceability, has the following sub-components: (i) Enhancing Agriculture Information Systems; and (ii) Supporting Climate-Resilient Agriculture. 2) The second component, Improving Agriculture Productivity, Adaptation to Climate Change, and Enhancing Linkages with Markets, has the following sub-components: (i) Strengthening Value Chains and Developing Productive Partnerships; and (ii) Improving Irrigation and Drainage Systems for Climate Change Adaptation. 3) The third component, Enhancing Food Quality and Safety, has the following sub-components: (i) Food Quality and Safety Standards; and (ii) Information Technology (IT) Systems for Food Safety Enhancement. 4) The fourth component, Project Management, will support a Project Implementation Unit (PIU) in both entities and a Monitoring and Evaluation/Coordination Specialist at the BiH level.
