Benin Second Boosting Inclusive Growth and Resilience DPF and PBG

The development objective of Second Boosting Inclusive Growth and Resilience Development Policy Financing (DPF) Project for Benin is to support the recipient's efforts to: (i) enhance private sector-led growth, (ii) boost domestic revenue collection, and (iii) strengthen social and climate resilience. The operation is aligned with the priority areas identified in the PAG II 2021-2026 as well as with other World Bank strategies. The program is also aligned with the Government of Benin (GoB’s) civilian-centered strategy to mitigate security risks in the North. The DPF series is aligned with Benin’s climate change commitments and the goals of the Paris Agreement. The reform program supports the green, resilient, and inclusive development agenda by strengthening the country’s adaptation and resilience to climate change through improved prevention, preparedness, and response capacity. The second Boosting Inclusive Growth and Resilience (BIGR) DPF supports reforms under three pillars: Pillar 1 – Enhancing private sector-led growth; Pillar 2 – Boosting domestic revenue collection; and Pillar 3 – Strengthening social and climate resilience.
