BiH Firm Recovery and Support Project

The development objective of Firm Recovery and Support Project for Bosnia and Herzegovina is to support the recovery of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) affected by Coronavirus (COVID-19) through improved access to long term financing and to refocus government programs to support MSMEs’ resilience in the aftermath of COVID-19. This project has three components. 1) The first component, Line of credit, establishes and operates a credit facility for the provision of financing to select participating financial institutions (PFIs) which will provide subloans to eligible beneficiary MSMEs. 2) The second component, Strengthen the institutional and program framework in support of firm recovery and growth via performance-based conditions (PBCs), provides financing for FBiH and RS Eligible Expenditure Programs to support the FMDEC and RS MEE. 3) The third component, Project Management, aims to providing financing for the FBiH PIU operation including costs related to operational, procurement, environmental and social safeguards, surveys tracking project implementation, and project audits.
