Segundo o Panorama dos Resíduos Sólidos no Brasil 2025, elaborado pela Associação Brasileira de Resíduos e Meio Ambiente (Abrema), cada pessoa habitante da região Sudeste gera, em média, 1,241 kg por dia.
Considerando a população estimada do Município de Riolândia/SP de 10.436 habitantes estima-se a produção diária de cerca de 13.000 kg diários.
Dessa forma, estima-se a necessidade de coleta de aproximadamente 4.750.000 kg anuais ou de 4.750 toneladas anuais, cerca de 396 toneladas mensais.
