A presente contratação decorre da necessidade de assegurar o fornecimento regular de combustíveis automotivos destinados ao abastecimento da frota municipal de Albertina/MG, compreendendo veículos, máquinas e equipamentos utilizados nas atividades administrativas e operacionais do Município.
A frota municipal é utilizada para a execução de serviços essenciais e para o atendimento das demandas das diversas Secretarias Municipais, incluindo deslocamento de servidores, transporte de usuários e materiais, realização de atividades externas e demais serviços necessários ao funcionamento da Administração Pública. Dessa forma, a disponibilidade de combustíveis constitui condição necessária para o regular funcionamento dos veículos, máquinas e equipamentos e para a continuidade dos serviços públicos. A ausência ou insuficiência de combustível poderá ocasionar a indisponibilidade dos veículos e equipamentos, comprometendo a execução das atividades municipais e podendo ocasionar interrupções ou atrasos na prestação dos serviços à população.
