CAR Inclusive and Resilient Cities Project

The development objective of the Inclusive and Resilient Cities Project for Central African Republic is to improve access to climate-resilient infrastructure and basic services in selected cities. The project comprises of four components. The first component, investments in flood and erosion risks reduction consists of following sub-components: (i) infrastructure for flood and erosion risks reduction; and (ii) institutional support for climate risk integrated planning and urban management. The second component, neighborhood infrastructure and basic services will support investments in local-level, climate resilient socioeconomic infrastructure. The third component, project management will support activities including: (a) the planning, implementation, and technical oversight of program activities; (b) effective social and environmental risk management; and (c) financial management (FM) and procurement. The fourth component, contingency emergency response component (CERC) will allow for rapid reallocation of project uncommitted funds in the event of an eligible emergency as defined in OP 8.00.
