Clean Energy for Buildings in Uzbekistan

The development objective of Clean Energy for Buildings in Uzbekistan Project is to improve energy efficiency in public buildings and enhance the regulatory framework for clean energy investments in the buildings sector. This project has three components. 1) The first component, Clean energy investments in public buildings, has the following sub-components: (i) will finance goods, works, non-consulting services, and consulting services; and (ii) will finance goods, works, non-consulting services, and consulting services subject to achievement of the Performance-Based Condition (PBCs). 2) The second component, Technical assistance, capacity building, and project implementation support, aims to provide Technical Assistance (TA) to enhance the enabling environment for clean energy investments in the buildings sector, support market development, and provide project implementation support. 3) The third component, Contingent Emergency and Response Component, would allow for a quick reallocation of resources within the total project financing envelope to boost the country’s response in the event of an eligible national crisis or emergency.
