Comoros National Water Resilience Project

The objective of the National Water Resilience Project for Comoros is to improve access to and maintenance for basic water supply services in Grand Moroni and strengthen sector governance. There are four components to the project, the first component being resilient water supply infrastructure for Grand Moroni. This component includes three subcomponents: securing water supply production, increasing water storage, and water supply distribution and resilience building. The second component is the sector governance strengthening, capacity building and sector strategies. This component includes two subcomponents: sector governance reforms and capacity building to key sector institutions, and strategic sector studies. The third component is the project management. This component will fund the recruitment of consultants for the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) and the project management costs. Finally, the fourth component is the Contingent Emergency Response Component (CERC).
