The development objective of Congo Digital Acceleration Project for Congo, Republic of is :(i) to increase broadband internet access to underserved populations, and (ii) to improve public sector's capacity to deliver digitally enabled public services. This project has five components. 1) The first component, Strengthening the Enabling Environment for Digital Transformation Acceleration, has the following components: (i) Strengthening the legal, regulatory, and institutional environment; and (ii) Development of skills and capabilities for technology adoption. 2) The second component, Expanding and Increasing Digital Broadband Connectivity and Digital Inclusion, has the following sub-components: (i) Support in improving digital inclusion for the population especially in underserved areas; and (ii) Support in improving broadband connectivity. 3) The third component, Improving Delivery of, and Access to People-centric Digitally Enabled Services, has the following sub-components: (i) Modernization of civil registration and implementation of pre-requisites for an inclusive digital ID framework and system; (ii) Development and implementation of selected digitally enabled public services focusing on people (G2P) and businesses (G2B); and (iii) Strengthening of data hosting governance and capacity. 4) The fourth component, Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, aims to finance project management functions by strengthening the GoC’s project coordination and management capacity. 5) The fifth component, Contingency Emergency Response Component (CERC), aims to address emergency cases that disrupt public sector business and services.
