The purpose of the COVID-19 Strategic Preparedness and Response Project in Cote d’Ivoire is to prevent, detect, and respond to the threat posed by COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and strengthen national systems for public health preparedness. This project has three components. Component one will provide immediate support to Cote d’Ivoire to prevent the importation and local transmission of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) through containment strategies. There are three subcomponents: (i) Case Detection, Confirmation, Contact Tracing, Recording, and Reporting; (ii) Case Management Health System Strengthening, and; (iii) Urgent Social, Financial, and Safety Net Support to Affected Households. Component two will equip people with the necessary knowledge and motivation to adopt prevention-related behaviors and counter misinformation. There are three subcomponents: (i) Community engagement for social accountability and prevention; (ii) Comprehensive behavioral change and Risk Communication, and; (iii) Information dissemination and collection. Component three is Project Implementation Management and Monitoring and Evaluation. There are two subcomponents: (i) Support will be provided to strengthen public structures for the coordination and management of the project, including central and local (decentralized) arrangements for coordination of activities, financial management, and procurement, and; (ii) Monitoring and evaluation of prevention, preparedness, and response.
