Cote d’Ivoire National Electricity Digitalization and Access operation

The development objectives of Côte d’Ivoire National Electricity Digitalization and Access (NEDA) Operation are to: (i) increase access to electricity and (ii) improve the quality of electricity service, in the lagging regions of Côte d’Ivoire; and (iii) enhance institutional capacity to support the electrification programs in the country. NEDA will contribute to meet the World Bank Group (WBG) twin goals of ending extreme poverty and boosting shared prosperity in a sustainable manner while addressing drivers of fragility. NEDA is aligned with the new WBG Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for the period of FY23–FY27.The NEDA PforR component will support the rollout of flagship government programs for grid access expansion and service reliability improvements in lagging regions where electrification needs are highest. The PforR has three result areas: (a) RA 1: Increase access to grid electricity services through affordable connections; (b) RA 2: Improve CI-Energies performance through enhanced digital capacity; and (c) RA 3: Enhance sector capacity and support implementation.
