Im Rahmen des Infrastrukturprojekts „i2030 – Mehr Schiene für Berlin und Brandenburg“ beinhaltet eine Teilmaßnahme zur Erweiterung und Engpassbeseitigung u.a. die Verlängerung der S-Bahnstrecke von Wartenberg durch das Karower Kreuz und weiter Richtung Schönfließ. Mit dem Neubau der sogenannten Nahverkehrstangente und der Errichtung zusätzlicher Zugangsstellen sollen die nördlichen Stadt- und Entwicklungsgebiete an das S-Bahnnetz angeschlossen werden. Dazu ist u.a. auch die Errichtung eines Turmbahnhofes am Karower Kreuz vorgesehen, um eine Umstiegsmöglichkeit von Ost-West- in Nord-Süd-Richtung und umgekehrt zu ermöglichen. Für diese Maßnahmen sind die Untersuchung und die Beurteilung des Baugrundes erforderlich. Gegenstand der Vergabe sind die dafür erforderlichen Baugrunderkundungen inkl. Feld- und Laborversuche.
