Earthquake Recovery and Public Health Preparedness Project

The development objective of Earthquake Recovery and Public Health Preparedness Project is to assist Croatia with earthquake reconstruction efforts in Zagreb and the surrounding areas, improve institutional capacity for reconstruction, and strengthen national systems for public health preparedness. This project has three components. 1) The first component, Earthquake Recovery and Reconstruction, has the following sub-components: (i) Immediate Public Safety Interventions; (ii) Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Health and Education Facilities; and (iii) Housing Reconstruction Support Program Design. 2) The second component, Public Health Surveillance and Preparedness, has the following sub-components: (i) Case management and Surveillance; and (ii) Public Health Preparedness. 3) The third component, Project Management, strengthen the technical and institutional capacity of the project implementing agencies, including project management, procurement, financial management (FM) activities, technical audits, compliance monitoring of construction activities, oversight of compliance with social and environmental standards, oversight of compliance with social inclusion targets, monitoring and evaluation (M and E) activities, and grievance redress mechanisms (GRMs).
