Hankinnan kohteena ovat Niuvanniemen oikeuspsykiatrisen sairaalan uudisrakennushankkeen suunnittelupalvelut. Kohde sijaitsee osoitteessa Niuvankuja 65, Kuopio. Hankkeen alustava laajuus on noin 11 000 brm2 ja se käsittää kuusi potilasosastoa sisältäen 102 yhden hengen huonetta sekä hoitokeskuksen. Hankinta on jaettu suunnittelualoittain neljään kokonaisuuteen, joille kullekin tehdään erillinen suunnittelusopimus: pää- ja arkkitehtisuunnittelu, rakenne- ja pohjarakennesuunnittelu, LVIAJ-suunnittelu sekä sähkösuunnittelu. Suunnittelutoimeksianto on vaiheistettu. Vaihe I käsittää rakennuslupavaiheeseen saakka ulottuvat suunnittelutehtävät, vaihe II investointipäätöksen jälkeiset toteutussuunnitteluun ja rakentamisen valmisteluun liittyvät tehtävät ja vaihe III rakentamisen aikaiset sekä takuuaikaan liittyvät tehtävät. Eteneminen vaiheesta toiseen edellyttää tilaajan erillistä päätöstä.
