This section concerns anti-personnel mines with a fragmentation effect. It is an area-effect mine. For this sub-area, the suppliers’ ability to deliver ready-to-use fragmentation mines and/or their components is being assessed. Ready-to-use fragmentation anti-personnel mine: - Consists of a fuse and a charge, - The fuse may be attached to the mine or separate from it, - The fuse may also be attached to the mine only at the time of installation. In this case, the detonator must be packed separately from the mines in the packaging, - The packaging must comply with current official explosives and safety requirements. Components of a fragmentation anti-personnel mine: - Detonator, - Charge (casing and explosive), - Packaging for subcomponents containing explosives must comply with current official requirements for explosives and safety. The Finnish Defense Forces Logistics Agency requests that the supplier address questions regarding the production, delivery, and commercial matters if the supplier wishes to be evaluated as a potential candidate for the supply of fragmentation mines or their components. The contracting authority will send a detailed request for information regarding the procurement of cluster munitions to companies it considers to be potential supplier candidates. The procurement of cluster munitions is estimated to be worth a total of 50,000,000.00 e. | This sub-area concerns pressure-activated anti-personnel mines. For this sub-area, the ability of suppliers to deliver ready-to-use pressure-activated anti-personnel mines and/or their components is being assessed.
