Opportunity Overview

To understand and produce an intervention strategy for victims of Intimate Partner Violence and Abuse (IPVA) in military families through a systematic literature reviews and cross-sectional descriptive and phenomenological qualitative research. This will be followed by options for an intervention to support victims of IPVA, concluded by small-scale feasibility and acceptability study.
This study seeks to contribute to the growing body of evidence on IVPA within military families, offering valuable insights for policymakers, military leadership, and support organizations. By addressing this critical issue, the research aims to enhance the safety and well-being of military families, ultimately strengthening the military community as a whole through implementation of a new intervention strategy for victim support. This study will strive to create a more supportive and secure environment for those who sacrifice so much in service to their country, and support their partners.
