The aim of the project is to develop an automated design-through-manufacture pipeline for customised shoe insoles, which utilises patient data collected via smart 'At Home' monitoring, to assist in the prevention and healing of DFUs. The PhD will develop and test an automated mass customisation pipeline for the design and manufacture of patient specific insoles. This can be represented in three work phases; patient data acquisition, Automated construction of customised insole CAD model and Insole fabrication and testing.
