Opportunity Overview

My research will advance current understandings of how key endocytic events, such as clathrin-mediated endocytosis, and membrane trafficking are regulated, applying this knowledge to diseases in which endolysosomal dysfunction is pivotal. Additionally, my PhD will question the rationale behind multi-isoform TPCs, especially TPC1, which is often the 'overlooked' isoform. I am enthusiastic to apply the various laboratory-based skills I am currently mastering during my research masters within the Galione group at the University of Oxford, including tissue culturing and transient transfection. In maintaining my high standards, and alert, organised and systematic nature which was recognised in graduating with a 1st Class Bachelor of Science with Honours, I endeavour to continue excelling academically in an area I am extremely passionate about. I am in a strong position, equipped with the experience and skills needed to conduct high quality research with purposeful results.
