Strengthening the Global Trading System (GTS)​ ​ ​

The Global Trading System (GTS) contract forms part of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office's (FCDO) wider Growth Community of Expertise (Growth CoE) programme, which provides technical assistance to support developing countries to participate more effectively in international trade and promote inclusive, export-led growth. The GTS component focuses on strengthening the capacity of developing countries and Least Developed Countries (LDCs) to engage in, influence and shape multilateral trade rules, particularly within the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Indicative requirements under this opportunity may include:
• Technical assistance and advisory support to help developing countries participate more effectively in international trade negotiations and trade-related processes.
• Support to strengthen engagement with the WTO and other relevant trade organisations and mechanisms.
• Policy, legal and technical support to help countries implement and benefit from international trade agreements.
FCDO is interested in engaging with organisations that have relevant expertise in trade and development and welcome participation from a diverse supplier base, including SMEs and consortia.
