NWLP delivers services from laboratories located at Hillingdon Hospital, Mount Vernon Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, West Middlesex University Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, and Charing Cross Hospital. The service supports acute, specialist, and community care, providing disciplines including Blood Sciences, Infection and Immunity, Cellular Pathology, Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics, and a range of specialist and referral services.
Due to the scale and breadth of these services, temperature monitoring requirements vary significantly, ranging from support to acute blood transfusion and clinical services, through the storage of blood components, reagents and consumables used in sensitive and critical testing procedures, to the long term storage of clinical material. Operating across this geographically dispersed, multi site estate, NWLP manages a complex laboratory operating model to ensure safe, timely, and high quality diagnostic testing.
