Umgestaltung riedlinger straße - straßenbauarbeiten - rohrleitungsbauarbeiten

Project Description: The city of Biberach an der Riß plans to upgrade Riedlinger Straße in 2026/2027/2028 (March). The project encompasses the section between Steigmühlstraße and the end of Theaterstraße, connecting to Felsengartenstraße, with a total length of approximately 900 meters. Riedlinger Straße will be completely redesigned. The existing bituminous surface of the roadway and sidewalks will be removed. The non-frost-resistant sub-base will be renewed, and the road widths will be adjusted. The roadway and sidewalks will be resurfaced. The roadway will be asphalted, and the sidewalks will be paved with concrete pavers known as "climate pavers." A cycle lane (passable) will be marked on each side of the roadway. All bus stops will be converted to "roadside bus stops." The existing turning lane to Schlierholzweg will be eliminated. New pedestrian crossings will be installed. Parking spaces will no longer be available on the north side. On this side, tree pits (each half in the sidewalk area and half in the cycle lane) with drivable concrete slabs are planned. These square tree pits are approximately 1.25 m deep and filled with tree substrate. A total of approximately 38 parking spaces will be created on the south side. Additionally, planting islands (filled with tree substrate) will be created between the parking spaces and the driveways. Over a section (approximately 300 m), the existing combined sewer will be replaced with a larger-diameter pipe and a renewed connection to Hirschbergstraße. As part of this project, the street lighting will be renewed along the entire length (on both sides). Prior to this project, e.wa riss Netze GmbH renewed the gas and water lines from Steigmühlstraße to the beginning of Theaterstraße. Only in Theaterstraße itself and the adjacent Felsengartenstraße is this work still pending and will be carried out as part of this project (separate contract with e.wa riss netze GmbH).
