Ghana COVID-19 Emergency Preparedness and Response Project

The development objective of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Emergency Preparedness and Response Project for Ghana is to prevent, detect, and respond to the threat posed by COVID-19 and strengthen national systems for public health preparedness in Ghana. The project comprises of four components. The first component, emergency COVID-19 response consists of following sub-components: (i) case detection, confirmation, contact tracing, recording, and reporting; (ii) containment, isolation, and treatment; (iii) social and financial support to households; and (iv) health system strengthening. The second component, strengthening multi-sector, national institutions, and platforms for policy development and coordination of prevention and preparedness using one health approach will support enhancing diseases information systems through development of a disease surveillance information system, as part of the disease control program. The third component is community engagement and risk communication. The fourth component is implementation management, monitoring and evaluation, and project management.
