Girls Empowerment and Learning for All Project

The Project Development Objective (PDO) Angola - Girls Empowerment and Learning for All Project is to empower Angolan youth, especially girls, and to improve learning quality for all. The project has the following three components: The first component seeks to empower Angolan girls, with certain activities also targeting boys. The component aims to (a) provide adolescent health services, (b) expand opportunities for second chance education and life skills, and (c) keep girls in school through demand-side actions. The second component addresses those challenges pertaining more directly to the education system, building on the experiences of the ongoing PAT (P122700). This component is organized around sub-components that relate to (a) expanding education infrastructure, (b) improving the quality of teaching and learning, and (c) minimizing COVID-19 disruptions. Component 3 is the Project management, monitoring, and evaluation.
