Health and Gender Support Project for Cox’s Bazar district

The objective of the Health and Gender Support Project for Coxs Bazar District for Bangladesh is to improve the access to and utilization of Health, Nutrition and Population (HNP) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) response services among the host and the displaced Rohingya population in Cox’s Bazar district. The Project has four components. 1. Strengthening integrated HNP and GBV response services in all tiers of health care and in the DRP camps component will support the delivery of HNP and GBV response services, in all tiers of health facilities in Cox’s Bazar district. 2. Strengthening government system’s capacity to deliver enhanced services in Cox’s Bazar (CXB) component will support different government’s system capacity to make service delivery in CXB fully functional. 3. Stewardship, Management and Coordination component will support Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) role in project implementation, coordination, monitoring and supervision. 4. Contingent Emergency Response Component (CERC) will provide immediate response to an Eligible Crisis or Health Emergency, as needed to benefit both, the host communities and Displaced Rohingya Population (DRP).
