Odisha State Capability and Resilient Growth Program

The development objective of the Odisha State Capability and Resilient Growth Program-for-Results for India is to protect poor and vulnerable households from the impact of economic and climate shocks in Odisha. The program provides financing in support of the state’s larger program and its objectives through three interlinked result areas: (i) increasing coverage of cash transfers by supporting a unified and adaptive social protection system that better connects program administrators managing interventions to citizens who are in need of support; (ii) improving the evidence base used to plan and design interventions for mitigating shocks through a digitized and dynamic statistical system that also enables effective sub-state monitoring and learning for stronger resilience; and (iii) reducing economic losses triggered by disasters by scaling up risk-informed disaster risk management systems with associated institutional and business process reforms.
