Opportunity Overview

The development objective of Mass Transit Project for Indonesia is to improve urban mobility and accessibility on high priority corridors in selected urban areas of Indonesia and strengthen institutional capacity for mass transit development. This project has two components. 1) The first component, Institutional Development, Capacity Building and Technical Assistance, has the following sub-components: (i) Program management and technical assistance to implement and manage Indonesia Mass Transit Program (IMTP); (ii) Institutional development at Directorate General of Land Transportation (DGLT) and sub-national levels in Bandung Basin Metropolitan Area (BBMA) and Mebidang; and (iii) Project management and technical assistance for demonstration Bus Rapid Transit (BRTs) in BBMA and Mebidang. 2) The second component, Demonstration Mass Transit Systems in Selected Urban Areas, has the following sub-components: (i) BRT in BBMA; and (ii) BRT in Mebidang.
