The development objectives of Integrated and Resilient Urban Mobility Project for Sierra Leone are to improve quality public transport, address climate resilience, improve road safety in selected areas and enhance institutional capacity in the transport sector. This project has five components. 1) The first component, Modernization and Professionalization of Public Transport Services, including informal private operators aims to finance the enhancement of public transport services in Western Area, with a focus on Maximizing Finance for Development (MFD) in the sector. 2) The second component, Strategic Resilient Mobility Investments, aims to finance physical investments to improve access, climate resilience and road safety. The resettlement cost identified in the RAP under this component will be financed by IDA. 3) The third component, Building Human Capital and Institutional Capacity, aims to finance knowledge development and institutional and academic capacity?building activities. 4) The fourth component, Project Management, aims to finance goods and services to support project management, financial auditing, data collection, monitoring and evaluation (M and E), and operating cost. 5) The fifth component, Contingent Emergency Response Component, aims to enable the rapid reallocation of funding among project components following an emergency.
