Opportunity Overview

The development objective of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Rural Accessibility Project (KPRAP) for Pakistan is to improve safe and climate-resilient rural accessibility to schools, health facilities and markets in selected districts of KP. The project comprises of four components. The first component is safe and climate resilient access. The second component, safe and affordable school journeys for girls will support the provision of subsidized school transport for girls from marginalized communities. The third component, project management and institutional strengthening covers two sub-components: (i) project management; and (ii) institutional strengthening program. The fourth component, contingent emergency response is a zero-dollar component that can be triggered in future crises, considering the vulnerability to floods and landslides in KP.
