REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST Lebanese Republic Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) GREEN, AGRI-FOOD TRANSFORMATION FOR ECONOMIC RECOVERY (GATE) Reference : GC2C2c Assignment Title: Detailed Designs, Tender Documents and Supervision for the Construction of Sludge Solar Dryers for Zahlé and Charqiyeh Wastewater Treatment Plants The Republic of Lebanon (the “ Borrower ”) represented by the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) (the “ Client ”) as a representative to the Borrower will implement the Green, Agri-food Transformation for Economic Recovery (the “ GATE ” or “ Project ”) , funded by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the “ IBRD ” or the “ World Bank ” or the “ Bank ” ) . The total Project cost is Two Hundred Million United States Dollars (US$ 200,000,000). The CDR intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this loan to eligible payments under a consulting services contract for the “ Detailed Designs, Tender Documents and Supervision for the Construction of Sludge Solar Dryers for Zahlé and Charqiyeh Wastewater Treatment Plants (GC2C2c) ”. The Main objective of this assignment is to reduce the volume and moisture content of the sludge generated at the wastewater treatment plants, thereby improving sludge handling and management with the intention to improve pollution management and to generate potential agricultural benefits for surrounding agricultural activities.
