REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST  (CONSULTANCY SERVICES – FIRMS SELECTION) SRI LANKA SRI LANKA PORTS AND LOGISTICS DEVELOPMENT PROJECT Grant No.: TF0D0285 Assignment Title: Study on the Modernization of Jaya Container Terminal (JCT) of Port of Colombo Reference No. LK-SLPA-GFPP-560842-CS-QCBS The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received financing from the World Bank toward the Sri Lanka Ports and Logistics Development Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. The consulting services (“the Services”) include carrying out a comprehensive study of Potential Extension of The Effective Life Span of the Jaya Container Terminal for the Sustainability of the Port of Colombo, Sri Lanka. The Terms of Reference (TOR) can be found at the following website (in the Annexure 01).  www.slpa.lk The Sri Lanka Ports Authority now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are:  1.1.     The experience in similar consultancy assignments within last 10 years of prior experience of planning and designing of container terminals more than 12m water depth, handling containers more than 2 Million TEUs per annum in a port with ship to shore, transshipment (at least 50% of the operation) and land to port operations. 1.2.     And also the consultant shall have the expert team including the key personnel of Team leader/ Port Specialist and supporting specialists as per the qualifications mentioned in the TOR. The shortlist will contain 5 to 8 firms. The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.15, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers”...
