Mozambique Digital Acceleration Project

The development objective of Digital Acceleration Project for Mozambique is to increase digital adoption and inclusion, and to support selected foundations for accelerated digital transformation. This project has three components. 1) The first component, Digital Access and Inclusion, has the following sub-components: (i) Enabling environment for digital investment, inclusion and resilience; (ii) : Rural digital connectivity and access; and (iii) Digital inclusion initiatives. 2) The second component, Foundations for Accelerated Digital Transformation, has the following sub-components: (i) Core digital infrastructure for Government and private sector; (ii) Data governance, data protection, cloud readiness and cybersecurity; and (iii) Digital technology adoption and skills development in the education sector. 3) The third component, Project Management, Institutional Coordination and Citizen Engagement, aims to support project management and implementation functions and strengthen the GoM's coordination and management capacity. 4) The fourth component, Contingent Emergency Response Component (CERC), aims to for rapid reallocation of uncommitted funds in the event of an eligible emergency as defined in OP 8.00, including climate or natural disasters and public health emergencies.
