  REPUBLIC OF MOZAMBIQUE MINISTRY OF PUBLIC WORKS, HOUSING AND WATER RESOURCES WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION INVESTMENT AND ASSETS FUND – FIPAAS         URBAN WATER SECURITY PROGRAM – P509890 REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST Nº. FIPAG/UWSP/CON-02A/25   CONSULTING SERVICES FOR PREPARATION OF THE FEASIBILITY STUDY AND DETAILED DESIGN FOR EXPANSION OF XAI-XAI, CHÓKWÈ, CHIBUTO, INHAMBANE AND MAXIXE WATER SUPPLY SYSTEMS   The Government of Mozambique, through the Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Water Resources (MOPHRH), has received financing from the World Bank under the Urban Water Security Program (P509890), to be implemented in the Greater Maputo Metropolitan Area and the Southern Region, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract FIPAG/UWSP/CON-02A/25 – Consulting Services for Preparation of the Feasibility Study and Detailed Design for Expansion of Xai-Xai, Chókwè, Chibuto, Inhambane and Maxixe Water Supply Systems.   This activity will, in part, support FIPAAS in develop: (i) feasibility study, (ii) detailed design and bidding documents of the selected infrastructures under feasibility study; and (iii) provide construction supervision services of water sources, water treatment plants, transmission mains to connect existing water supply schemes and expansion of networks to meet water demand, by proposing immediate activities for 2030 demand, activities for intermediate year of 2040 and ultimate year of 2050 for Chókwè/Guijá, Chibuto, Xai-Xai, Inhambane and Maxixe. In summary the feasibility study intends to produce an appropriate option for construction and/or upgrade existing water supply schemes to meet 2030, 2040 and 2050 demands. .   The Water Supply and Sanitation Investment and Assets Fund (FIPAAS) invites eligible firms (“Consultants”) to express their interest in providing the services....
