De gemeente Rheden heeft meerdere kunstgras sportvelden in eigendom en beheer. In 2026 zijn 2 kunstgras voetbalvelden toe aan de vervanging van de toplaag. Het gaat om veld 3 op Sportpark De Pinkenberg (Rozendaal) en veld 1 op Sportpark Het Nieuwland (Dieren). De huidige velden zijn SBR (rubber) infill velden. De gemeente wil deze vervangen met Mineraal-Infill velden (geschikt voor Multisport en goedgekeurd door de KNVB). Daarmee handelt de gemeente in lijn met het Europese verbod op koop en verkoop van rubber infill vanaf 2031. Vier kunstgras voetbalvelden zijn toe aan de vervanging van de toplaag
