Paraguay Public Health Sector Strengthening

The development objectives of Public Health Sector Strengthening Project for Paraguay are to: (i) strengthen the public primary health care micro-networks; and (ii) expand access to quality primary health care services for the population covered by the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare (MSPBS). This project has three components. 1) The first component, Investments to strengthen the service delivery capacity of public primary health care micro-networks, aims to finance activities for the strengthening of PPHCMNs, so they can provide quality health care services to people under different Integrated Care Sets (ICS). 2) The second component, Improvements in the access to quality health services through priority ICS , aims to expand population access to quality health care services for the health ICS. 3) The third component, Project Administration and Implementation Support, aims to support and finance the project implementation and supervision efforts, including project management, fiduciary tasks, the management of environmental and social risks, monitoring and evaluation (M and E) and the financial audit through consulting, non-consulting services and operating costs.
