The Government of Sindh has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Second Karachi Water & Sewerage Services Improvement Project ( KWSSIP-II ) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the laying of mild steel (MS) pipelines under K-IV Augmentation Works - Laying of MS Pipelines (Lot 1, 2, 3 and 4). For these contracts, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing. These contracts will be jointly financed by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. The bidding process will be governed by the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations. 2. The Karachi Water and Sewerage Services Improvement Project (KWSSIP-II) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the construction of water transmission pipelines under the K-IV Augmentation Works.
