1. The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Electricity Distribution Efficiency Improvement Project (EDEIP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the multiple contracts for Design, Supply and Installation, Testing of Six Nos. 132kV Grid stations along with Transmission Lines, 9000 Nos. Transformer Monitoring System and 46 Nos. HT feeders:
The current Invitation for Bids and bidding is only for the Contract for Design, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning:
Lot-I: 132kV Grid Stations along with Transmission Lines DG Khan III & Shah Jamal
Lot-II: 132kV Grid Stations along with Transmission Lines Khanewal II & Arif Wala II
Lot-III: 132kV Grid Stations along with Transmission Lines Layyah-II and Rahim Yar Khan III
The Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.
2. The Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Design, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning:
