Private Sector Jobs and Economic Transformation (PSJET)

The development objective of the Private Sector Jobs and Economic Transformation Project for Haiti is to contribute to labor demand by supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and value chains resilience and growth through improved business development services and access to financial resources. The project comprises of four components. The first component, investing in MSMEs and value chains resilience and growth will provide business development services (BDS) and matching grants that can be used to finance investments and working capital to individual as well as groups of viable beneficiary firms. The second component, improving access to finance for MSMEs will finance the provision of a partial credit guarantee (PCG) and a line of credit (LoC) to participating financial institutions (PFIs). The third component is enhancing strategy, coordination, project management, and impact evaluation. The fourth component, contingent emergency response component (CERC) will draw from the uncommitted credit resources under the project from other project components, to cover emergency response.
