Punjab Resilient and Inclusive Agriculture Transformation

The development objective of Punjab Resilient and Inclusive Agriculture Transformation Project for Pakistan is to enhance equitable access to, and productivity of, agricultural water, and improve incomes of farmers supported by the project. This project has four components. 1) The first component, Community-driven Improvement of Water Conveyance and Application, has the following sub-components: (i) Upgrading Community Water Conveyance Infrastructure; and (ii) Improving Community Water Management. 2) The second component, Promotion of Climate Smart Production (CSP), Regenerative Agriculture, Diversification, Value Addition (VA), and Inclusive Access to Markets, has the following sub-components: (i) Improving the Market Integration of Producer Groups for Increased Production, Diversification, and VA; and (ii) Supporting Individual Producers for CSP and Diversification. 3) The third component, Project Management, Monitoring and Learning, has the following sub-components: (i) Providing Support for Project Supervision and Third-party Verification Consultancy; (ii) Providing Support for Monitoring and Evaluation; and (iii) Providing Support for Project Management and Implementation. 4) The fourth component, Contingent Emergency Response Component, aims to provide immediate response to an eligible crisis or emergency, as needed.
