Specific Procurement Notice Request for Bids Works (Two-envelope Bidding Process Without Prequalification) Employer: Ministry of Communication and Aviation (MCA), Solomon Islands Project: Second Solomon Islands Roads and Aviation Project Contract title: Suavanao Airfield Runway Pavement and Associated Upgrading Works Country: Solomon Islands Loan No. /Credit No. / Grant No.: 7110-SB / E034-SB / 7714-SB / 7715-SB / E416-SB RFB No: SB-PST-556464-CW-RFB Issued on: June 2026 The Government of Solomon Islands has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Second Solomon Islands Roads and Aviation Project (SIRAP2), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Suavanao Airfield Runway Pavement and Associated Upgrading Works . The MCA now invites sealed Bids from the eligible Bidders for the Suavanao Airfield Runway Pavement and Associated Upgrading Works, which include Runway sealing and extension, Drainage works, Airfield ground lighting, Airfield line markings and Small terminal building. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers-” September 2025 (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. Bids will be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation process set out in the bidding documents. The following weightings shall apply for Rated Criteria (including technical and non-price factors): 60 % and for Bid cost: 40%.
