The Basel marshalling yard is located in Muttenz and the Basel metropolitan area. It is a key hub for north-south rail traffic. As part of the NEAT (New Rail Link through the Alps) project, the yard's capacity is to be increased, requiring the construction of an additional 750 meters of track. The work must be completed on schedule and to the required quality standards, taking into account operational and safety considerations.
