Switzerland – Communication and multimedia software package – SIP-Konverter für Analogverstärker

Telecom SBB, within the Infrastructure division, operates a railway communication system for safe railway operations. This system uses loudspeakers on the platforms, driven by audio amplifiers, to make both manual and automated announcements. Within this signal chain, converters are used to translate the signals according to the technical specifications (e.g., IP to analog). The loudspeaker announcement service is a crucial component of the railway environment, providing customer information and, in the event of an incident (e.g., evacuation, accident), making targeted announcements. Currently, approximately 1,300 converters are in operation at around 800 locations throughout Switzerland. SBB is seeking a supplier to provide a new solution for these converters. Services such as warranty, repair, software/firmware development, monitoring, configuration, management, and processing are to be offered alongside the existing hardware solution to create a cost-effective, efficient, and high-quality end-to-end solution.
