Switzerland – Construction work – AS25 Bern West, Leistungssteigerung - Fahrstrom

The AS25 Bern West Capacity Enhancement project is part of a comprehensive package of measures at the Bern rail hub to expand services in long-distance and regional transport. To implement these service enhancements, the operating concept of the Bern hub will be adapted with the help of new grade separation structures in Wylerfeld, Wankdorf South – Ostermundigen, and Bern West, including the Holligen Tunnel. The SBB overhead contact lines are equipped with the N-FL system. The BLS network uses the FL 61 system. The Bern substation feeds power to the Holligen line via two feed points. As part of the AS25 Bern West Capacity Enhancement project, the entire overhead contact line and switching station system will be rebuilt.
