Lengnau station does not meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (BehiG) and must be adapted accordingly. The available platform lengths, heights, and widths no longer comply with the current AB-EBV requirements. SBB's regional passenger service plans do not foresee any significant changes to the current service on the Olten – Solothurn – Biel/Bienne section. This project aims to modernize access to the railway and the platform facilities, adapting them to current requirements. The project objectives and measures in detail are: - Implementation of BehiG requirements: - Construction of a main platform and a central platform with a standard usable length of 160 m, including upward compatibility to a usable length of 235 m; - Construction of a new pedestrian underpass with a new southern access on plot 874; - Track renewal of track 3, including substructure/superstructure, drainage, and safety switches; - Adjustments to the track layout to accommodate the new platform facilities (adjustments to the track profile). - Overhead contact line system to the new platform system including ensuring upward compatibility; platform usable length 235 m; - Adjustments to the station surroundings due to access to the railway, P+R and B+R, etc.; Any potential synergy use for necessary maintenance measures of various facilities.
